Do you miss eating chips now that you’re trying to lose weight? Do you get that craving for them in the afternoon or evening? Are chips (pretty much of any kind ?) your biggest weakness when it comes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. I’ve gathered 22 Tasty Chip Recipes That Feel Sinful but Are Actually Healthy for you.

Maybe you’re not the type to obsess over chips generally, but you find them hard to resist if they’re in front of you. If you’re anything like me, it’s not even about the chips, it’s about the dip or salsa.

And let’s be real, sometimes fresh veggies just don’t cut it. I find hummus with veggies to be good, for sure. But hummus with chips??? Ten times better…

To me, the thinner and flakier, the more delicious I find them to be too.

Now here’s the challenge in my household. Jeremy, my husband, loves eating chips with salsa or hummus. He’s the type that craves them often. Even when he’s trying to eat healthier, he’s got a bag of chips in the pantry that he can have with salsa.

While I don’t usually even think of chips, when they’re in front of me, I have a hard time resisting. And I mean a really hard time! You know what I mean?

Sooooo, of course, I had to find a solution to maintain my healthy eating habits and avoid temptations. This list of delicious and tasty healthy chip recipes is the key to staying on track and being a guilt-free foodie.

DON’T DEPRIVE YOURSELF OF SINFULLY DELICIOUS FOODS

Before I go into the list of healthy chip recipes, I have a suggestion. Don’t deprive yourself of sinfully delicious foods. If you’re trying to lose weight and you’re eating foods that just don’t do it for you because they’re healthy, you will not succeed. I mean it.

There are lucky people in this world (though I see it as a matter of perspective) who eat for fuel. Many of us (or most in my opinion) eat because we connect food with emotion.

Think about it, celebrations of birthdays and success are mostly geared around food and drinks. We have all maybe eaten a tub of ice cream or a pizza pie at some point when we’ve been depressed. We have emotional reactions to food.

And you know that feeling when you have something so delicious that your mouth waters and you just feel an inner sense of fulfillment? Ahhh, I can’t deny it, I’m just a foodie….

I’ll finally get to the point here. I’m not suggesting you eat a bunch of junk food and sugar, which are addictive. One option is to follow these tips to resist cravings. To stay on track with your weight loss goals, eat foods you enjoy that are healthier than what you were eating before. Then you won’t be “dieting” and you’ll make your new healthy eating habits sustainable.

Best of all, you can keep being a foodie while losing weight. You can’t beat that!

Pinterest is full of delicious options for every kind of food you can think of. If you crave something, look it up on Pinterest, there’s likely to be a healthy alternative to it.

TASTY CHIP RECIPES THAT FEEL SINFUL BUT ARE ACTUALLY HEALTHY

Before you go through this list, I suggest you get a mandolinif you intend to make these frequently. You’ll need that or a very sharp knife for the majority of these healthy chip recipes. Many of the recipes also call for a dehydrator. I don’t have one and many people don’t, so most of the recipes require that you bake the chips in the oven. There were three final things that I kept in mind when rounding up these recipes:

#1 We foodies need sinfully delicious healthy options at our fingertips.

#2 Ease of recipes.

#3 Variety, variety, variety.

1. BEET CHIPS

If you’re not a big fan of beets because of they’re earthy, these chips might just change your mind. I found this Beetwith Thyme-Scented Pink Salt recipe on the Kumquat blog. You can also make them with golden beets for a less-earthy flavor.
