How to Set up a Frozen Penguin and Pom Poms Sensory Bin
Prepare your penguins
- Place your penguins into an ice cube tray and fill it up with water.
- Add blue and white Pom poms and gem stones as well into the remaining sections of the ice cube tray.
- Place it in the freezer over night.
- In separate tupperware containers, add water and place that in the freezer as well. These will be the icebergs.
Creating the Frozen Penguin and Pom Pom Sensory Bin
This sensory bin can be created in steps and will flow with your child. Let them explore each step and only move on to the next step once they almost finished playing.
- Once the penguins and pom poms are frozen, place them into the sensory bin.
- Your child might enjoy letting the penguins skate on the ice cubes in the sensory bin.
- Hand our child a squeeze bottle filled with warm water and let them try and free the penguins and Pom poms.
- Fill the sensory bin with about an inch or two of water.
- Add a few drop of blue for coloring.
- Add the frozen blocks of ice.
- Your child might enjoy playing with the penguins on the icebergs pretending they are diving off the blocks of ice and going for a swim to catch fish!
